Welcome to the City of Roanoke, the Unique Dining Capital of Texas!

Roanoke is now the central point to the DFW Metroplex, as projected over ten years ago, providing small-town charm with a big-city heart. Residents and visitors are offered more than 60 unique dining options, plenty of retail, affordable and safe housing, low property taxes, and a vibrant downtown business corridor. Roanoke continues to be a great place to live, dine, shop and play, proven by the unprecedented growth we’ve experienced in the quality retail, industrial, and residential development - All while retaining our charming small town feel, and friendly atmosphere.

Community Overview

Roanoke is located in the center of the fastest growing area of the state. Each year, we have experienced prosperity, strong economic growth, a low crime rate, a wide range of affordable housing, and a highly rated school district. 

Roanoke has many amenities that were built for our residents but also for our neighboring cities to enjoy. We have a state-of-the-art, 15,000 square foot library that is occupied daily with hundreds of residents and guests. Our recreation center also provides many programs for small children up to our seniors. We also offer a community center, several beautiful parks, splash pads, and The ‘Noke - Roanoke’s dining themed skate park. Roanoke is second to none as a destination as we continue to attract “unique” restaurants. The City of Roanoke is still one of the lowest combined property tax rates in that state, with more to offer than most small communities in our region. 

Economic development is a catalyst for creating jobs, providing necessary amenities, improving quality of life, and fueling the economy of surrounding areas. Roanoke’s sales tax base outperforms numerous cities in our two county area.

My Vision

My vision for Roanoke is simple and is shared by citizens from all over the city. We strive to be the city with the most productive jobs, the highest rate of home ownership, and the best schools of any area in the country. With our low crime rate, we offer a highly desirable community that values strong families, close friendships, and supportive neighborhoods and churches. Roanoke is a prosperous city with a strong, diversified, and vibrant economy that will produce a continually improving quality of life for our residents, businesses, and future generations.
