"Serving those who serve us"
Volunteer Opportunities
The Roanoke Citizens' Police Academy Alumni Association, RCPAAA, is open to those who have graduated from the Roanoke Citizens' Police Academy. Dues are only $20 a year. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to help our Police Department. The past volunteer successes have involved assisting during several city events, to include Roanoke's Independence Day Celebration, the annual Celebrate Roanoke Festival, Roanoke Farmers Market and Evenings on Oak Street Concert Series.
During the Christmas season, the Alumni Association partners with the Police Department for the annual Roanoke Hometown Holiday Christmas Parade and Event and work with officers to organize the donation, wrapping, and delivery of gifts to less fortunate families during our yearly Santa Cops Event. Our newest ventures include fundraising, assisting in the emergency dispatch center, and working with the Police Department as Citizens On Patrol.
Meetings
Meetings are held at the Roanoke Police Department on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
