The Roanoke Fire Department provides service to the city from two fire stations and is composed of 23 firefighters, four administrative staff members, one emergency management officer, and a station dog.
Each shift is staffed with one captain, one driver/engineer, and six firefighters. All personnel are certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and are licensed as emergency medical technicians or paramedics through the Texas Department of State Health Services.
The department’s fleet includes three Spartan Engines, one Spartan Ladder Truck, three Ambulances, two Brush Trucks, one Blocker Truck, one Rehab Trailer and one Fuel Trailer.
